Balancing Cat!

Talon is fascinated by Midnight's ability to balance...

It is quite amazing...

Not completely black... see the auburn highlights in her fur.
This is before Midnight started showing...

Talon really likes this cat.

Early Spring Daffodils!

Last spring, I posted photos of our roselike daffodils. This spring, I thought you might like to see some of our other daffodils. These are more typically shaped but each one is different.

some have short trumpets...

Some have long trumpets...

Some are multicolored...

some are petite...

All are unique and welcome!

Isn't spring glorious!

Fetch, Kitty, Fetch!

You may recall from the previous installment of Midnight The Dumped Cat's Story that Talon was hoping for another dog. Since Talon doesn't know much about cats, he expected Midnight to romp like a dog. I overheard Talon saying: Here, boy, here and Fetch, Kitty, Fetch! So sweet and funny. I explained that cats play differently and gave Talon a long string. He was delighted that Midnight immediately started pouncing.

Midnight is kinda doggy... she comes out to the car to welcome us home and follows where ever our nature walks take us... she just follows at her own pace.

All The Little Birds On Jay Bird Street...

Love to hear the robin go tweet, tweet, tweet...

Tuesday Morning Addition
Last night, I discovered a fabulous weekly photo meme Ruby Tuesday
hosted by Mary at the Work of the Poet blog. Each Tuesday participants worldwide link up red themed photos. The photos are gorgeous and, Oh, did I ooh and ahh.

This morning, I woke up and decided to join the Ruby Tuesday party. I've always considered robins more orangish but they are called 'Robin Redbreast', after all.

Birthday Treasure Hunt!

Last year's treasure hunt for Talon's first big boy bike was such a success that we did it again. Talon gets so excited solving the riddles and searching for the next clue.

Found the first clue in a gift bag and realized the game was afoot! Talon found clues hidden upstairs and downstairs... in all kinds of nooks and crannies... even in the...

microwave!

and in the daffodils!

even Tonka held a clue!

Where to now?

Ahh, figured out the last riddle: Does BigRed sleep? Then why does he have a bed!

Can you believe Talon outgrew his previous bike in one year?

On to the spectacular Grand Prize Finale
What could it be?!

Talon couldn't believe his eyes!
This was an after Christmas deal that couldn't be saved for a Santa Toy--- Talon might be too tall for it next Christimas.

Checking out the dash...

Checking out the reverse...

Checking out the motor...

A big ol' thank you hug!

Happy Birthday, Talon!

Geez Dad--- stop stealing the show-- it's my birthday not American Idol!!

Never too many Transformers-- Thanks Gram!

WOW!

Cool Car!
At the starting line...

Talon test drives each one right away--- I remember when he was age one and two... he would cuddle cars like a teddy bear.

Ran out of tissue paper so substituted a matching napkin...

Talon asked: Why is this birthday napkin in here?
So much for my clever idea...
