Horseplay at PF Chang's

Talon still fits under the big horse!
Just wait, the horse has magical power...
Really... you won't believe your eyes!

Seriously...

Are you ready?

Amazing, isn't it! The horse transferred the power of levitation to Talon!

Dad, the magician, is so proud!

Too cool!

Okay, now that is just showing off!

Don't let go... he might float away!

PF Chang's

PF Chang's in Tulsa is always a favorite and we ate there yesterday for my birthday lunch.

Shrimp in garlic sauce. Well prepared but rather bland... certainly not worth giving up Kung Pao Shrimp for and doubt we will order it again.

Our perenniel favorite: Shrimp with Candied Walnuts and Honeydew! Not spicy but such interesting flavors. The burst of sweetness from the melon is spectacular!

My all time favorite side: Spicy Stirfried Eggplant! Actually, it is an entree but I always order it as a side... so melt in your mouth delicious!

Talon's kiddie Shrimp with Lo Mein. Always a large serving so mom and dad share too!

Tiramisu in a shotglass! These little $2 dollar desserts are scrumptious and the perfect size to complete a fabulous but filling meal. There are about 8 flavors to choose from so everyone is happy. We prefer these shotglass desserts to the spectacular Great Wall of Chocolate that featured in an earlier post.

Our tiramisus were missing the usual coffee bean garnish which, of course, Talon brought to the attention of our server. Can't slip anything by that boy; he is a dessert expert!

Typically, we overdo the ordering at PF Chang's but this time we did without the lettuce wraps and wonton soup. And didn't splurge on a second side or third shrimp entree... just to experiment. Our pocketbook and tummies were very grateful. ;o)

Do you enjoy dining at PF Chang's? What dishes do you recommend? Any that you would never order again?

Longhaul!

Today, Talon was positive this guy was the decepticon 'Longhaul'... there is a bit of a resemblance

Snaggle!

Talon lost his first tooth! At the first discovery of looseness, he said: I'm not ready for this! By the time the tooth was pulled (by me) two weeks later, he was excited by this new turn of events.

Tickling dad's hair with a straw.

Life Savers, Chewbonga and Dark Vader, Oh my!

Can you guess what is afoot? If you guessed Star Wars, you can go to the head of the class!

Yes, my little one enjoyed his very first Star Wars marathon recently and now fancies himself to be a jedi.

Aren't kids funny when they misunderstand words in songs and movies? As a speech pathologist, I ought to correct him but I don't. It is just too cute and he self-corrects soon enough anyway. Chewbonga is already Chewbacca.

Can you guess my character? Here is a hint: Talon badgers me to wear over the ear hair buns. Yep, I am Princess Leia--- and that is what Talon now calls me. Since the pretend play goes on for hours regardless of time or place, we are sure to get some funny looks on our next visit to Walmart! Pin It

Lake Eufaula

This was taken Memorial Day weekend at Porum Landing (Corp of Engineers Park) on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma.

OOOO-klahoma, where the wind comes whistling down the plain...

Because of the musical Oklahoma, many people think the state only has flat plains. But Eastern Oklahoma is green, hilly, woodsy, rocky and full of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. Northeastern Oklahoma is where the foothills of the Ozarks begin and Southeastern Oklahoma has the Ouachita Mountain Range. I live smackdab in the middle of the two in a region known as Green Country. Just lovely, and there are no tumbleweeds...

Red Cuties at the Diner!

Spotted these two red cuties at the Boomerang Diner!

My family loves cars and attends lots of carshows so I had to get a shot of this cute little mint hauling car. If you are a hotrod or classic car freak, click on the cars label in the sidebar and prepare to swoon.

Looks like this little toothpick dispenser has had a hard life! What a pile of guest checks! Hope the owner doesn't use her hard earned profits to buy a new dispenser-- I like this one, don't you.

When the cashier gave me a funny look inquiring glance, I said: Oh, I take pictures of red things. As if that explained my oddness... well, I reckon it explained that one bit of oddness.

What is your favorite response to funny looks or questions when you take photos in strange places?

Happy Hour!

My five year old loves half-price happy hour-- Sonic Happy Hour, that is--- What did you think I meant, hmm?

Can you guess his poison?

Wait for it....

Wait for it...

Aack! Freaky! What is it with little boys and blue tongues anyway?!

Talon's drink of choice: Blue Coconut Slush!
What is your favorite refreshing Happy Hour drink? Doesn't have to be from Sonic. ;o)

This is my first time to participate in the Blue Monday photo meme-- I am becoming quite the memer!
