 Surprise!

Did you guess losing a tooth? 

And did this contrary and hanging a bit too low because it was so loose snaggletooth come out in time for school pictures on Wednesday?  NO!  It came out on Thursday! And believe me, I gave it a good pull every night but baby teeth are like berries---they have to be ripe and  when it is time they detach with only a slight tug.  

  

Whenever I play around with photo editing effects I can never decide which I like best: black and white or sepia.

So here is a little deja vu in sepia...

Do all parents find missing front teeth smiles precious? I just can't get enough.  I keep making him laugh so I can see it again...

(and if silliness doesn't work I just give him a tickle)

A Winter's Day Nature Walk

Beauty is where you find it and in the winter you take what you can get-- the starkness of an old dead tree against the bright blue sky caught our attention.

The grass in the back forty is almost as tall as Talon!

Can you spot him? I reckon he needs to trade the Elmer Fudd hat in for a pointy red gnome hat!

Talon is outstanding in his field! ;o)

He couldn't get enough of hiding-- kept saying: Can you see me? Of course, I pretended I couldn't-- except when snapping shots.

Incredible Pizza Part Two...

And the winners of the go-cart race are--- Talon and his Pa in car #22 sponsored by Caterpillar--- and the crowd goes WILD!

Talon helped edit this photo-- he chose black and white and the frame. He thinks the frame looks like a racing flag.

Even the kiddie bowling balls are hard to handle....


Labor Day weekend, we took Gram and Pa to Incredible Pizza--- so much fun! We all bumped ourselves silly in the crazy round bumper cars and Talon was ecstatic to win the go-cart race. He thought it was very funny that I lost. Never drive car #3--- it is SLOW! Jim and Talon starred in a silly music video--- hopefully I can upload it to the computer soon.

Oh, Saturday is a better day for the food by the way. It was yummy this time.
