Talon's school invited all the moms to a breakfast in honor of Mother's Day.
Breakfast with my little boy. What a lovely way to start the day!

MUSINGS, DOINGS AND DABBLINGS OF A CITY GIRL FROM TEXAS LIVING A DUSTY LIFE IN THE WILDS OF OKLAHOMA... nature, food, travel, garden, photography, family, a bit of style and a heaping helping of silliness... just for the hilarity of it all...

Talon loves bingo and can speak the lingo! A few games in, he asked: Is this straight or blackout? Too bad he is too young for the casino!

Presenting Preposterously Purple! Purple exercise pants, purple blingy top and purple camo hat! Not too crazy but I don't really need to dress crazy-- it is what is on the inside that counts! Ha!

And my crazy clodhoppers! By the way, the tag says 'available in wide'. My feet are not wide-- not that there is anything wrong with wide...
For a few years now, I have been ordering my prescription eyeglasses from MyOpticalShop.com. Their frames range in price from $19 to $49 and the lenses are very reasonable too. They offer the same fancy lenses and coatings offered anywhere. The only difference is a decent price. Really, who wants to pay $300 for glasses?!I've been so pleased with my rimless and hingeless glasses from MyOpticalShop that I decided to order prescription sunglasses too.
Purple semi-rimless! Love them!

The height of redneck chic.... color coordinated earplugs!
Pink Surrey with the fringe on top...
My color! I want a turquoise car to make my blue eyes pop!
Or a hotrod turquoise truck... You know I love the old trucks. Needs some pink flames, though. Talon's influence...
Cool old truck!
Funny fish truck!
Maybe a golf cart?
The auto industry stopped making cars and went into military production during World War 2. That is why there aren't any vehicles from that time period. These 1946 trucks were some of the first made after the war. Aren't they beautiful?
Lime is my new color the last 3 years. In the past, I assumed it would make me look ill in a greenish sort of way. But it isn't too bad and makes me feel perky on a deary winter day!
