Yellow Wildflower

I love these yellow wildflowers.  And so does Mr. Buggy... but poor thing, he is all by his lonesome.

Ah, now it's a party!

Do you know the name of this flower? I checked the US Wildflower website for Oklahoma but couldn't find a match.

    A DAY WITHOUT YELLOW

A day without yellow is drear.
(At least, that’s what I think, my dear.)
    Without the gold touch,
    There just isn’t much
To give life a sparkle—that’s clear!

  17. Leslie: thanks for researching! I think it is a type of coreopsis-- there was one on the Ok website too but not an exact match-- this one may be an oddball but it is prettier than the coreopsis shown on the Tx or Ok wildflower sites.
