Kiddie Canoe Ride

This little canoe ride is at the Frontier City Theme Park in Oklahoma City. The canoe isn't on a track. The kids have to really paddle to make it move. Isn't it cute?


Talon rode it several times when he was age three. This time at the ripe old age of six, he only rode it once. He isn't buying the 'working is part of the fun' angle anymore.

Roller Coaster Crazy!

Talon wanted to ride the small roller coaster at Silver Dollar City by himself this time. He was so proud and, of course, I was proud of him too... but I was relegated to the sidelines all by my lonesome.

See Talon in the last car... his arms are up and he is raring to go!

Kiddie Park!

Here are photos of Talon at the Kiddie Park in Bartlesville. The park has existed since 1947--- some of the rides are charmingly retro and some are newer. There are about 16 rides including a small rollercoaster and a train that circles the perimeter of the park. Oh, I wish we had known about the Kiddie Park sooner--- the rides are the perfect size for toddlers and each ride costs only 25 cents. Well, a couple cost 50 cents but still what a deal! Bartlesville is so fortunate to have the Kiddie Park. The rides are sponsored by businesses and organizations--- so the community knows how lucky they are. Wish Eufaula had a kiddie park--- that would be a perfect location.

Little dodge'ems--- a bit trickier for Talon than the round ones at Incredible Pizza...

Wanna Arm Wrestle...

Here is another new attraction (for us anyway) that we found in the farm area at SDC. The riders haul themselves to the top of the silo by rope then slide down. Sounds like a redneck joke, doesn't it! I pulled us up 4 times sans help. Talon only wanted to do the sliding part---lazy boy!
