Marigold

Marigolds are still blooming in my garden. Not sure which variety this is but it is pretty and cheerful!

Marigold foliage smells a bit stinky so the flowers are used as pest control in veggie gardens; guess this little buggy didn't get the memo!

  3. This is a spectacular Macro. Very nice! I do love Marigolds, and they come in so many colors. Truely a great flower.
About the rooster. He is a bit cranky and does protect the "girls". I just don't trust him and carry a stick with me "just in case" I've had many roosters in the past and they can be a bit nasty sometimes.
Have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Beautiful shots of Marigolds and I really like that bright blue you captured behind, makes them seem even brighter. Yellow always makes the day a litle bit more cheerful, doesn't it?
    Smile today. :)

  8. Beautiful! Ours are still blooming too, but I'm shocked. Isn't it amazing how there's always at least one little bug in them. :)
