Every year, the forest rangers give away free pines at the Fall Festival. These trees are about the only ones that thrive on our property. Their heights are staggered but some are 30 ft tall now.

One of the tall ones! Lost its tippy top in the ice but still growing! I just love pines--- reminds me of the East Texas Piney Woods--- and adds some color during the dreary grey Oklahoma winters..jpg)
Talon spotted this earthworm next to one newly planted tree.
